The final performance of the 2015 Steamers High School Band Showcase took place on Saturday, May 23 featuring the Irvine High School Jazz Band. Alto Sax player Rocky Mandayam received the honor of the outstanding musician scholarship on the day. Congratulations to all the bands and musicians who performed over the past several weeks.
This showcase is one of the many ways that Friends of Jazz encourages young musicians and helps to keep music alive in our schools. Thank you to all who have supported FOJ to enable them to continue this program.
